You have to be very conscious of other teams in the division right now, to have a good regular season you need to have a good offseason. That doesn’t necessarily mean that you need to make a bunch of moves like the Jets, the Dolphins have stayed pat for the most part though, they’ve added Brandon Marshall, while losing Jason Taylor and Joey Porter and traded Ted Ginn so it’s to be determined. But for sure you have to give the early edge to the Jets for best offseason, and don’t forget the Pats who have been somewhat in the middle watching the two.
The question now is, have the Jets done too much by bringing in Tomlinson, Cromartie, Holmes, Taylor and on and on. But for them to finish in the AFC Championship game, and still make moves it shows they aren’t resting on their laurels they want to take the next step. The Dolphins missed the playoffs and they want tot get their so it’s becoming a very interesting offseason. It’s going to be an even better summer of competition and we all can’t wait til September for that whistle to blow

I think the Jets might have done too much. I live up here in Virginia (close to the Redskins), and this is what they would do year in and year out. Pick up a bunch of players in the offseason only to find out that football is a team game and chemistry matters as much if not more than talent. Plus the guys they got are big namewise, but their at the end of their career. LT and JT are pretty much done. I'm sure LT would add something to the Jets, but I'd rather have Thomas Jones if I were them.
ReplyDeleteThe Jets might have made it to the AFC championship, but remember they were 8-8 and only got in cause the Colts rested their starters. I know they're good, but I just don't think they'll be as good as everyone seems to be making them out to be.
the dolphins need a speedy safety and a safety that can deliver big hits and i think you can find that in ohio state safety kurt coleman
