With the 212th overall pick in the seventh round the Dolphins added more depth to the linebacker position by taking Chris McCoy out of Middle Tennessee State.
And now they have one pick remaining, the 252nd overall and that'sa compensatory pick so they cannot trade it.
McCoy played in a 4-3 scheme in college and considers himself an explosive player off the ball who is good with his hands. He has been told by Miami that he will play weak side linebacker and at 6-4, 250 pounds. He was ecsatic to take the call as he was surrounded by his family and his girlfriend and expects to arrive in South Florida on Thursday.
He had seven sacks as a senior for the Blue Raiders.
