I think a lot of the hype surrounding Jimmy Clausen was by his agent and his people. When you see that you feel bad for the player because obviously the scouts and the front office guys don’t see it the same way. When I looked at all the QBs this year, Bradford, Tebow, McCoy and I don’t think any of them were worth a top 15 pick including Bradford, I just don’t see the talent physically there to be a franchise type QB that you will invest $40-50 million in, so where Clausen went is the most accurate.
In the end Carolina is getting a great value with him and with Matt Moore at QB and with him not being an established starter, Clausen will have a shot to go in and start early.
